Data Deletion Instructions
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make that request, what we delete, and what we are legally required to keep.

EZAGE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, Kolkata, India
How to request deletion
Email ez.ezage@gmail.com from the address registered on your account, using the subject line Data deletion request.
Please include:
- Your registered username, or the phone number on the account, so we can locate it.
- Whether you want the entire account deleted, or only specific data such as an uploaded contact list or a connected WhatsApp Business Account.
If you write from an address other than the one registered on the account, we will ask you to verify ownership before we act. This protects you against someone else deleting your data.
You can also disconnect a WhatsApp Business Account at any time from Meta Business Settings. That immediately revokes our access to it without deleting the rest of your account.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, email, phone number, photo, bio, date of birth and gender.
- Your listings, services, portfolio content and public profile page.
- Your workspace, if you are its only member, along with its settings and entitlements.
- Connected WhatsApp Business Accounts, including the encrypted access tokens we hold. These are deleted immediately and irreversibly.
- API keys issued to your workspace, which are revoked immediately.
- Contact lists you uploaded, and the message history and delivery logs belonging to your workspace.
- Saved payout details such as bank account or UPI information, once any outstanding settlement is complete.
- Authentication links to Google, LinkedIn or Instagram.
What we keep, and why
A small amount of data survives deletion because the law requires it or because deleting it would harm someone else. We keep only what is necessary, and it is not used to contact you or to build a profile.
- Invoices, payment records and tax documents — retained for up to 8 years under Indian tax and company law.
- Records of transactions you completed with other users on the marketplace, so their own records stay intact.
- Security and abuse logs, retained up to 12 months, where needed to protect the platform and other users.
- A minimal suppression record where you have opted out of messaging, so that your opt-out continues to be honoured.
- Anonymised or aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you.
How long it takes
We acknowledge deletion requests within 72 hours and complete them within 30 days. Data is removed from our live systems first. Encrypted backups are rotated on a rolling schedule and any residual copies are overwritten within 90 days, after which no recoverable copy remains.
Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account, its message history or its WhatsApp connection once the request has been processed.
Data held in Meta's systems
When we deliver WhatsApp messages, Meta Platforms also processes and stores data in its own systems. Deleting your eZage account removes our copy and revokes our access to your WhatsApp Business Account, but it does not delete data held by Meta.
To remove data held by Meta, use the privacy and data controls in your Meta Business account, or contact Meta directly. You can also disconnect eZage from your WhatsApp Business Account at any time in Meta Business Settings, which immediately stops our access without deleting your eZage account.
If you received a message from a business using eZage
If you are not an eZage account holder but received a WhatsApp message from a business that uses our platform, that business controls your data, not us. We process it on their behalf.
- To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to the conversation. The opt-out is applied immediately.
- To have your data deleted, contact the business that messaged you. They can delete you from their contact list, which removes you from our systems too.
- If you cannot reach them, email us at ez.ezage@gmail.com with the business name and the phone number that was messaged. We will forward the request, and where we are able to act directly we will.
